14 ways to improve your mobile advertising strategy

Mobile web traffic continues to soar as consumers spend more and more time on their smartphones and tablets. Approximately half of global web traffic comes from mobile devices, so it makes sense that brands want to focus on mobile-optimized advertising campaigns.

But the success of mobile advertising isn’t just about creating visual and video content that fits on a mobile screen. ThisIt is important to follow good practices and create an engaging experience for viewers and potential customers.

Below, 14 members of the Young Entrepreneurs Council shared some simple changes entrepreneurs can make to their mobile advertising strategy to improve their bottom line.

1. Send your message without sound

2. Make the action easier

Mobile marketing is all about ease of access. Including marketing options that give users the option to click to call, instantly subscribe, or download a primary magnet on their phone will allow you to achieve better results. 3. Optimize ads for voice search

You need to create your email, keywords, and expenses for voice searches. More and more people are researching using voice activation, and if you’re not optimized for it, you’re missing out on a critical market share. –Matthew Capala, Alphametic

Always make sure that anything you share through your website is also optimized for mobile. So many businesses miss this step, creating things on their desktop site that don’tt converts well for mobile. 5. Retarget mobile ads

Consider retargeting mobile ads to connect with customers who have already seen your brand. Retargeting your ads on different platforms where your customers haven’t seen your brand could establish greater recognition, instead of just focusing on one platform. –Solomon Thimothy, OneIMS

6. Personalize your call to action

Calls to action must be targeted. If you’re targeting someone who is currently near one of your outlets, an ad showing a sale with a route to that store is more effective than a generic call-to-action. It can annoy users because it is intrusive and gets in the way of everything the user does.
