The ad will first air on Thanksgiving, this Thursday, November 25, during the NFL prime-time NFL game between the Buffalo Bills and the New Orleans Saints in Delaware and the Northeast. The CPBD also released a full page ad in the Delaware Newspaper and will run radio and digital commercials to educate the public and shed light on the behind-the-scenes deals plaguing the Delaware court system.

Noted Citizens for a Pro-Business Delaware Campaign Manager Chris Coffey“This campaign sends the message that Delaware judges can no longer move in the dark between powerful judicial positions and well-heeled business law firms to cash in on their connections with former colleagues on the court. bench. It’s time for Delaware to update its outdated and ineffective anti-corruption laws so that the mutually beneficial musical chairs between the best courts and the best law firms end. And these so-called “public servants” should spend less time looking for opportunities to fill their own wallets and more time trying to understand the people they are meant to serve. Delaware deserves better, and we will not stop our campaign to expose this corruption until the Delawaren know what is going on behind closed doors. “

The full script for the ad is below:

What do you get when you pull out of Delaware’s top courts?

You get paid … to work at the same business law firm that you awarded $ 3.2 million in a case that is still pending.

Delaware’s weak corruption laws mean powerful judges can move immediately from the bench to elite business law firms and benefit from their influence

It is time to close the revolving door once and for all, to end the corruption in the days of Chancellor Bouchard, and to restore trust and integrity in the Delaware courts.
