LSC: Lone Star College launches new TV advertising campaign

November 18, 2021

Lone Star College has released its Fall 2021 TV campaign to encourage spring enrollment. The ads were produced by Hierarchy Advertising under the direction of the LSC Marketing and Communications Dept.

“We were looking for ads that would resonate with prospective students and their families,” said Elisa Olsen, LSC Marketing Director. “We are very excited about creative design and look forward to promoting all of the benefits that Lone Star College has to offer the community. “

The two thirty-second commercials air on KPRC-TV, KHOU-TV, KTRK-TV, KXLN-TV, KRIV-TV, KTMD-TV, CNN, The Weather Channel and Fox News Channel via Effectv (formerly Comcast). The ads began running on November 8 and are expected to run through January 24, generating approximately 19,668,480 impressions.

“We’re putting out two different creative messages,” Olsen said. “One is for spring registrations and the second is for community leaders to promote and enhance the reputation of Lone Star College.”

In addition to TV commercials, LSC also purchased seven outdoor billboards to increase brand awareness in its service area.

“People who watch TV through streaming services like YouTube, Hulu, and Roku will also see our ads,” Olsen said. “These digital platforms allow us to target viewers by network, genre and location.”
