Times Radio launched an advertising campaign with the message Retune Today for a Brighter Breakfast.
The clever wording clearly suggests that people are stepping away from “Today” on BBC Radio 4, its closest rival breakfast show, and listening to Times Radio instead.
The campaign is timed to coincide with the audience’s return to normal routines and aims to encourage listeners to leave their usual morning programming.
Conceived and conceptualized by Pulse Creative London, News UK’s in-house agency, the campaign will run from September 6 to October 10 on out-of-home, digital, social and podcast media.
Tim Levell, Times Radio Program Director, said, “We are exceptionally proud of the release of Times Radio, and this campaign is designed to encourage people to try the radio station. It is focused on breakfast because it is still the most important show for a radio station.
“A ‘brighter’ breakfast sums up what Times Radio has to offer. We aim for smart and informed news coverage, delivered in a way that we believe is fresher, warmer and more enjoyable than other news broadcasts.
“The start of a new term is the perfect time to launch this campaign, and we look forward to listeners changing their ways and switching to Times Radio.”
It’s easy to broadcast travel information on your radio station, starting at £ 25 per month for online stations. See RadioTravelNews.com for more details and set up the same day.
